It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo Cagle of Sylva, North Carolina, who passed away on May 1, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Jo Cagle to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Marion and Bessie Locust Ashe; her husband Rayburn A. Cagle; and her sister Betty Ashe Gentry Luker. She is survived by: her children, Rickey Dean Fisher and Maggie Cagle Wilkes (Benny); her grandchildren, Travis, Kevin, Emily, Marcus, Benjamin and Leandra; and her nephew Johnny (Annette). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Balsam Baptist Church (105 Heavenly Rd, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
