He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Broom and Beulah Broom; his siblings, Bill Broom, Shirley Broom Shuler and Helen Broom Parker; his son Phillip Bodford; his grandson Zachary Bryson; and his nephew Dean Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Blanton Broom.
