He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wilkes and Ruth Hooper Wilkes; and his brother Jim Wilkes. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Gay Wilkes; his son Marty Wilkes; his daughter-in-law Diana; and his sister Robin Abernathy.
