In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Nikki had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Nikki may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aldine Cash Smith and Frances Louise Staton; and her son Kenneth Dean Henke of Sylva. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Edward Henke; her son Edward Len Henke (Kristen Duckett); and her sister Deborah Lynn Smith Smith (Robert Paul) of Raleigh. She is also survived by two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
