She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Ward and Carrie Ward; her siblings, Glen Ward Jr. (Violet), Darnell Ward (Renate), Jim Ward (Frankie), Polly Ward Wolfer (Cliff), Edward Ward (Cecilia) and Nell Ward Warren; her great grandchildren, Konlee Laine Hargrove and Brooklynn Leigh Schmidt; and also Irma Sue Ward.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Karkosky; her children, Donna Honeycutt (Lonny Ranly) of Houston, TX, Barbara Honeycutt Galvao (Lou Galvao) of Greenville, SC, Sherry Karkosky (Billy Wike) of Cary, NC and David McDuffie (Donna McDuffie) of Charlotte, NC.; her grandchildren, Bridgett Carroll, Terri Lee (Bubba Lee), Patrick Honeycutt (Mandy Honeycutt), Ricky Hargrove (Jaimie Hargrove), Cory Mitchell (Atosha Mitchell), Ryan Hargrove, Bo Levi Mitchell (Madison Michell), Karli Cooksey (James Cooksey), Scooter Mitchell, Kate McDuffie and Abby McDuffie; her great grandchildren, Zayne Johnson, Jacelynn Schmidt, Kenleigh Schmidt, Jhett Mitchell, Dash Mitchell, Kruiz Mitchell, Addison Lee, Elle Mitchell, Lakelyn Mitchell, Kannon Hargrove, Kash Hargrove and Kollyns Hargrove; and her close friends, Jo Wolfer (Ken Hopper) of Franklin, NC, Paula, Mark Zeimer, Angela and Darcy Ward.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Old Field Cemetery.
