It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Haggard Myers of Sylva, North Carolina, born in Miami, Florida, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Sharon shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Sharon farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband James C. Myers. She is survived by: her daughters, Teneile Pickett of Asheville, NC and Denene Dowling of Myrtle Beach, SC; her sons-in-law, Scott and Matt; and her grandchildren, Emory, Kenyon and Sage.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte NC where her daughter Denene received life saving care to beat Breast Cancer 8 years ago.
