She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Ira Wayne Broom and Eva Young Broom; her parents, Radford Hooper and Wilma Broom Hooper; and her sister Bonnie Messer of Sylva.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Jennifer Caywood (Marty) of Biltmore Lake, Eva Messer of Sylva, Evan and Trent Caywood; her great-niece Bonnie Ann Marie Connell; and her cousin Connie Baird (Jack) of Franklin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
