She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wright and Pearl Wright (Boston); and her sister Virginia Hause. She is survived by: her sons, Frederick J. (Sherry) and John K. (Carol Jean); her grandchildren, Jesse (Cayela), Luke (Netta) and Jacob; and her great grandchildren, Ellie, Riley and Eldon.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbeterian Church (46 Presbyterian Dr, Sylva, NC 28779).
To honor Shirley's profound love for her Pomeranian dogs, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jackson County Humane Society (ARF), P.O. Box 298, Sylva, NC 28779.
