He was predeceased by: his father Jackie H Staffelbach. He is survived by: his mother Linda Clayton Staffelbach; his wife Janet "Jan" Franks Staffelbach; his children, Travis J Staffelbach and Jennifer Childs (David); his stepdaughters, Shanna Gilmer (Rob) and Stephanie Stoneburner (Dan); and his siblings, Teresa Staffelbach, Bob Staffelbach (Rita), Jack Staffelbach (Amanda) and Keith Staffelbach (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
