He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ashe Buchanan; his daughters, Becky Wilkes and Susan Shannon; his grandchildren, Heather Wilkes, Austin Wilkes, Riley Shannon and Dylan Shannon; and his siblings, Fred Buchanan and Clara Buchanan Henson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
