She is survived by: her sons, Roy Linwood Buffkin (Christle) of Green Sea, SC and Burroughs Charles Sawyer III (Maggie) of Andrews, SC; her grandchildren, Brittany Todd (Donovan), Stephanie Buffkin (Dusty), Little Roy Buffkin (Amanda), Collin Sawyer, Ethan Sawyer, Amanda Hardee (Jay) and Joey Hardee; and her nieces, Ruby Shaw and Kathy Strickland. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel (300 E 5th St, Tabor City, NC 28463). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (16010 James B White Hwy S, Tabor City, NC 28463).
