It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kermit Van Chapman Jr. of Tarawa Terrace, North Carolina, who passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Frazier Chapman and Kermit Chapman, Sr.; and his brother Jeffrey Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Eva McCarter Chapman; his children, Gregory Chapman (Shana) of Montana, Angel Chapman of Jacksonville and Krystal Chapman (Bryan Tellez) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Patrick, Andrew, Nicole, Cody, Chaila, Emma, Beliczia and Victoria; and his sister Lisa Espinoza (Frank) of California. He is also survived by his three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Rivers Assisted Living Center in Jacksonville.
