He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Whitehead, Sr. and Arie Dickens Whitehead. He is survived by : his children, Steven Pitt of Elm City, NC, Vincent Dancy, Kathy Pitt of Elm City, NC, Barbara Purvis of Tarboro, NC and Peggy Pitt of Tarboro, NC; and his siblings, Johnny Whitehead of Rocky Mount, NC., Milton Whitehead of Rocky Mount, NC., Randolph Whitehead of Rocky Mount, NC. and Olivia Darden of Tarboro, NC. He is also survived by great-grandchildren other loving relatives and friends.
