She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Pettaway and Charlottie Dickens Pettaway. She is survived by: her daughters, Tasha Pettaway and Latoria Pettaway of Tarboro, NC; and her siblings, Thomas Earl Pettaway of Rocky Mount, NC, Lois Jean Clark of Princeville, NC, Doris Knight of Washington, DC and Helen Pettaway of Tarboro, NC. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St James Temple Baptist Church (4480 McNair Rd, Tarboro, NC 27886). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
