He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Peter and Gloria Nowakowski Burek. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Coker Burek; and his siblings, Catherine Gildner, Robert, John, Michael, Paul and Steven. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Edgecombe Memorial Park (2879 US-258, Tarboro, NC 27886).
