She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Keister and Gordon Keister; her husband James Howard (Jim); her son Keith Howard (Sarge); her sisters, Joetta Armacost of Ohio and Frieda Powers of Southern Pines; and her daughter-in-law Kay Scott Howard.
She is survived by: her son Scott Howard; and her grandchildren, Christian Danielle Fulford, Heather Davis and Joseph Bryant. She is also survived by caregivers for her after her husband.
