John Timothy Rhodes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2025, at the age of 64, John Timothy Rhodes (Tarboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sarah Furlough Purvis; his stepfather Davis E. Purvis; his father Ernest Carson Rhodes; and his brothers, Joseph C. Rhodes and David M. Rhodes.
He is survived by: his sister Connie P. Perkins (Kevin). He is also survived by two daughters, and three granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Wounded Warrior Project to help veterans.
