He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Howell, Sr. and Victoria Norfleet Howell. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Howell of Tarboro, NC, John Howell, Jr. of Burtonsville, MD, Bryan Howell of Suitland, MD, Joyce Whitehead of Tarboro, NC, Valerie Joyner of Tarboro, NC and Carol Howell of Mildred, NC; and his siblings, James Howell of Hobgood, NC, Magella Bryant of Tarboro, NC and Jannie Howell of Durham, NC. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren, thirty -one great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
