She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert M. Whitaker and Roberta Hyman Whitaker. She is survived by : her daughter Gwen Betrand of Tarboro, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
