He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Llewellin and Alma Orr Cordle; his wife Carol Couric Cordle; and his former wife Sheila Kennedy Cordle. He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Cordle Underwood (Lee) of Charlotte, Betsy Cordle of Raleigh and Catherine Cordle of Charlotte; his granddaughters, Anna Underwood and Carly Cordle; and his siblings, Robert Cordle (Casey) of Charlotte, Alma Theissen of Marion, IN, Anne Doughty (Rick) of Charlotte and Laura Miller (Jimmy) of Mooresville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
