She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Barnes; her parents, Rutherford "Bob" Wilson and Virginia McCarn Wilson; her stepdaughter Lisa B. Smith; and her brother Robert "Bobby" Wilson.
She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Barnes (Stephanie) and Brian Barnes; her grandchildren, Jaycee Barnes, Jordan Barnes, Crysti Cannon and Jessica Smith; and her niece Ann Jones.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Service (193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Three Forks Baptist Church (3 Forks Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Forest Lawn West Cemetery (4601 Freedom Dr, Charlotte, NC 28208).
