He is survived by: his wife Joan Morrison Elder; his children, Kevin Elder of Taylorsville, Pamela Sigmon (Frank) of Stony Point, Tiffany Meadows (Brian) of Hiddenite and Renae Jones (Tommy) of Taylorsville; his siblings, Johnny Elder (Judy) of Taylorsville and Cozette Millsaps (Billy) of Taylorsville; Tommy Jones. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
