It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Miller Ross of Terrell, North Carolina, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Marshall Ross and Alma Martha Miller Ross; his wife Johnnie Sue Ross; and his brother Robert Marshall Ross. He is survived by: his children, James Miller Ross, Jr. (Julia Anderson Ross) of Hickory, NC, Robert Charles Ross (Carla Jean Ross) of Bailey, NC and Elisabeth Almekinder (Rolf) of Hampstead, NC.; his grandchildren, Casey E. House, Zachary R. Weaver, Charlotte A. Ross and Autumn E. Freeman; and his close friends, Jim, Linda King, Art, Kathy Layton, George, Peach Singer, Vic, Sylvia Brawley, John, Joyce Geer, Wayne, Jane Lowe and Wendy.
