With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Gregory Graninger of Terrell, North Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Graninger and Eleanor Hitz Violetta; his brothers, Clark Cecil Graninger and Peter Wayne Graninger; his brother-in-law Phil Sheldon; and his nephew Matthew Wayne Graninger.
He is survived by: his wife Elke "Nicole" Graninger; his children, Michael Gregory Graninger Jr. (Kristi) of McLean, VA, Thomas Aaron Graninger of Dobson, NC, Jamie Sybil Graninger of Indiana and Kayla Colleen Graninger of Nashville, TN.; his sisters-in-law, Dottie Graninger and Patricia Graninger; his sisters, Gale Hellard (Charles) of Salisbury, NC and Phyllis Rebecca Sheldon of Parlington, SC.; his grandchildren, Smith Graninger, Emory Graninger, Hayden Graninger and Sawyer Graninger; and his siblings' children, Alan Ross, Craig Ross and Karen Graninger Wales.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658).
