He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel William Benner and Vaughna Kate Hawks Benner; his brother Tommy Benner; and his wife Rebecca. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Dezern, Danny and Jeremy Benner; his granddaughters, Mariah Mahala (Chad), Brenna Vasquez (Giovani), Alina Brittain (Stefan) and Tara Parks (Chase); his great grandchildren, Alec, Rylan, Eleni Mahala, Ezra, Julian, Andrea Vasquez and Annalise Brittain; and his brothers, Larry, David and Rick Benner.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations of Thomasville, North Carolina (18 Randolph St, Thomasville, NC 27360).
