He is survived by: his wife Sarah Turner Bowling; his daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Simpson (Ricky) of Lexington, Debra "Debbie" Kennedy (Steve) of Thomasville and Patricia "Patti" Woods (Rodger) of Harmony; his siblings, Eunice Griffin, Betty Lou Lee (Bob), Harold Bowling (Virginia) and Marie Moore (Rick); his sister-in-law Becky Bowling; his grandchildren, Todd Kennedy, Sarah "Elizabeth" Owens (Nick), Emily Young (Robert), Mary "Paige" Simpson, Kody Kennedy and Joshua Woods; his great grandchildren, Mason, Olivia, Oakley and Hudson Owens; and his nephew Terry House.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bethel Global Methodist Church designated to the playground fund, 508 Fisher Ferry Street, Thomasville, NC 27360. Memorials may also be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
