He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Riley McDowell and Ruth Crouse McDowell; and his son Danny Ray McDowell, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Alisa W. McDowell; his children, Kristi Green (Gaylon) of Trinity and Kevin McDowell (Erica) of Kernersville; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Green and Maddie McDowell; his stepsons, Eric Moran (Amanda) of Denton and Aaron Moran of Asheboro; and his brother Kenneth McDowell (Jacquelyn) of Archdale.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be given to Randolph Hospice Home, 446 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
