With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Ray Baker of Thomasville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 27, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan William Baker and Louberta Lee Baker; his wife Annie "Ann" Ruth Paul Baker; his son-in-law Danny Mangosing; his siblings, Pauline Stewart (Gene), Harvey Baker (Betty) and Minnie Brown (Tommy); and his brothers-in-law, Carl Owens, Clay Peele, Lloyd Bingham and Chris Gresham.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ruthie Lynn Mangosing of Williamsburg, VA and Cheryl Ann Mann of Thomasville; his grandsons, Douglas "Scott" Mann II, Daniel Mangosing and Matthew Mangosing; his siblings, Loudean Owens of Lexington, Jo Ann Peele of Randleman, Glenda Bingham of Asheboro, Cathy Gresham of Oxford and Ricky Baker (Bonnie) of Liberty; his sister-in-law Barbara Dixon of High Point; and his niece Margaret "Mimi" Wright of Asheboro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
