It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Alvin Stevens of Thomasville, North Carolina, born in Vienna, Virginia, who passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clarence and Florence Bray Stevens; his son Christopher Todd Stevens; and his siblings, John C. Stevens, Thelma Henry, Peggy Henry and Brenda Comer.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Spangler Stevens; his sons, Bobby Stevens (Susan) of Fredericksburg, VA, Jamie Stevens (Krista) of Stephens City, VA and Jordie Puckett Stevens (Donna) of Camdenton, MO; and his siblings, Leroy Stevens (Norma Jean) and Janice Papson (Andy) of Coppers Cove, TX. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jones Funeral Home to help offset the funeral expenses.
