He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Willard and Winnie Gilbert Williams Willard; and his wife Sheila Sullivan Willard. He is survived by: his sons, Gilbert "Kent" Willard, II and Jonathan Howard Willard of Charlotte; and his close friend Janet Kemp of High Point.
