With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Haraway Swanner of Thomasville, North Carolina, born in Petersburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 3, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Gloria is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gloria's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She is survived by: her husband David Swanner of Thomasville; her children, David Swanner (Jessica) of Stanfield, Beverly Swanner (Doug) of Lexington and Greg Swanner (Michelle) of Indian Trail; and her siblings-in-law, Keith Swanner, Vicki Eudy and Sue Swanner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
