He is survived by: his wife Rachael James; his sons, Henry Palmer (Amanda Mullins) and Matt Palmer (Kara); his siblings, Phil James, Paul James, Daniel James and Laurie Boegner; his grandchildren, Trevor, Mackenzie, Matison, Ryleigh, Marlee, Michael, Andrew and Mason; his great grandchild Lexton; and his pets, Buster and Pearl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360).
