With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Hilda Kinney Byerly of Thomasville, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Saye Kinney and Tempie Clyde Foster Kinney; her siblings, Herman Kinney, Mildred K. Brinkley, Donnie K. Swaney and Loretta K. Ogden; and her siblings' children, Linda Brinkley, Richard Brinkley and Steve Swaney.
She is survived by: her children, Neal Byerly (Sharon) of Lexington, NC and Sheila Byerly Sumner of Denton, NC; her grandchildren, Taylor Everhart (Jonathan), Alexis Sumner (Alex Burkhart) and Thomas Kozik (Morgan); her great grandchildren, Elyse Kozik and Lenox Kozik; her sibling's children, Teresa Lowe and Doug Brinkley; and her close friend Dwain Staley.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Jc Green and Sons Chapel (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
