She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Lee Russell and Erma Jean Yates Russell; and her siblings, Ethel Woodlief, Betty Gordon, Jenna Mae Russell, L. A. Russell, Houston Russell, Willis Russell, Robert Russell and Alvin Russell.
She is survived by: her son Robert Michael Chester of Thomasville; her sisters, Dorothy Shaw of Denton, Alma Lea Russell of Asheboro and Patty Parnell (Johnny) of Asheboro; her sister-in-law Patsy Russell of Ramseur; and her grandsons, Kaleb Michael Morrow and Brandon Harris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
