She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Carelock and Mae Hinson Carelock; her former husband John Vernon Rule; and her husband Porter Bryson. She is survived by: her daughters, Rita Rule of Salisbury and Kathy Guffey (Terry) of Shelby; her stepson Jimmy Rule (Linda) of Salisbury; her sister Faye McDaniel of Kannapolis; her grandchildren, Adam Smith of Kannapolis and Tonya Burleson (Terry) of Oakboro; and her great grandchildren, Haley Speights (Jacob) of Albemarle and Kelly Burleson (Ethan) of Albemarle. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren; two nephews; and several extended family members and friends.
