She was predeceased by: her parents, Novelia Celestia Carroll and Boyd Mott Schaefer; her husband Billy Fetzer Joyce; her son Kenneth Joyce; and her sister Dolores Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, William David Joyce of Thomasville, Deborah Kincaid (Richard) of Burlington and Marcus Joyce of Winston Salem; her grandchildren, Christopher Joyce of Winston Salem, Justin Joyce (Juli) of Charlotte, Kristen Bowman of Burlington, Brad (Tori Bowman), MacKenzie Pirolozzi (Brian), Madison Jackson (Clark Jackson) and Heath Joyce; her sister Barbara Phillips; and her daughter-in-law Lisa Joyce. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
