He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Lee Everhart and Bertie Craven Everhart; his brothers, Darrel Everhart and Wayne Everhart; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Everhart and Ronnie Bumgardner.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Amy Nichole Speaks (Clarke) and Sara Everhart Fowler (Clay); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Katie, Betsy Speaks, Brewer and Craven Fowler; his sisters, Peggy Bumgardner and Ann Bailey (Ken); and his nephew Brent Everhart (Amanda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Fair Grove Church (138 Fairgrove Church Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
