He is survived by: his children, Chelsey Marie Smith, Tyler Lamar Calvin Smith and Carl Jeremiah Lynn Smith; his stepsons, Paul J. Raines and Joshua B. Raines; his grandchildren, Nathan M. Smith, Elijah D. Smith, Ashely Berrocal, Hailey Berrocal, Joel C. Raines, Evelyn R. Raines, Mackayla Reynolds and Robert Reynolds; his children-in-law, Malcolm McMillan, Maggie Smith and Sesilia Gordillo; his brother David Smith; and his nephews, Casey and Christopher. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.

Though there are no formal services planned at this time, the family invites those who wish to honor Kevin's memory to make memorial donations to Hospice of the Piedmont, an organization that provided him with compassionate care in his final days.
