We are sad to announce that on March 29, 2025, at the age of 78, Lane Sherrill Gilbert Jr. of Thomasville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lane Sherrill Gilbert, Sr. and Margaret Pauline Coke of Guilford County; and his sister Diana Louise Buffalo. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Johanna Bell Gilbert; his children, Jesse Gilbert (Tamara) of Thomasville and Jena Williams (Roger) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Ryan Williams (Dessie), Jacob Gilbert, Adam Gilbert, Dane Williams and Danielle Williams; his sister Patricia "Lynn" Allred (Cecil) of Summerfield; and his nieces and nephews, Ace and Noosa Dawood.
