He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Franklin Thomas, Sr. and Barbara June Mauldin; his children, Alan Thomas and Kimberly Thomas; his sister-in-law Joann Thomas; and his brother Robert "Bob" Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Jones Thomas; his daughters, Amy Eads (Brian) and Julie Riley (Brandon); his grandchildren, Burton Thomas (Leslie), Jarrett Thomas (Kendall), Haley Tysinger, Graham Tysinger, Patrick Riley, Sean Riley and Ian Riley; his great grandchild Thatcher Thomas; his brother John Thomas; and his daughter-in-law Tammy Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery (401 W Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Archdale Methodist Church or to Hospice of the Piedmont, who were so supportive and kind to Paul during the last days of his final journey.
