He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Clinton Eggers and Margaret McLean Eggers; his wife Linda Branson Goodman Eggers; his daughter Leslie Beth Goodman; and his aunt Agnes Eggers Bryant.
He is survived by: his brother Jerry Eggers of Lexington; his daughters, Shelly Lynne Goodman (Michael) of Colfax and Jessica Goodman Miller (Dennis) of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Dr. Ryan Goodman of Knoxville, Tennessee, Heather Jones (Kenneth) of Thomasville, Whitney Grubb of Colfax, Dennis Shane Miller of London, England and Justin Grubb (Brittany) of Greensboro; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Carol and Arlo.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Robert's memory to Davidson-Davie Community College, supporting the education and advancement of minority students and expanding access to opportunity for all.
