She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harold King and Stella Haire King; her husband Robert Rorex; her daughter Jenette Hartmann (Richard); her grandson Stevie Ray Mitchell; her great grandchild Landis Mitchell; and her brothers, Billy King (Ruby), Jesse King (Gladys), Jimmy King (Pat) and Ernest King (Barbara).
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Rorex (Martha) and Lynn Kinley; her sisters, Louise Hicks (Bill) and Martha Beane (Tommy); her grandchildren, Scott Rorex (Kim), Kristy Duffy (Heyward) and Toby Scarce; her great grandchildren, Eli Woodruff, John Robert Duffy, Slater Mitchell and Tanner Mitchell; and her close friend Ruth Hughes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Holly Hill Cemetery (401 W Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
