He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wayne Parsons, Jr. and Opal Wilmoth Parsons; and his brother Gail "Dale" Junior Parsons. He is survived by: his wife Carol Harrison Parsons; his daughters, Wendi Parsons Shuler (Edgar) of Thomasville and Christine Parsons Thornburg (Reid) of Thomasville; his siblings, Jerry Parsons (Linda) of Thomasville, Dean Parsons (Sharon) of Denton and Angela Moore (David) of Dunn; and his grandchildren, Christopher "Chad" Ragan of Thomasville, Jason Scot Ragan of Lexington, Logan Storm Shuler of Thomasville and Noah Reid Thornburg of Thomasville.
