He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Cathey Cain and Ora Blackmon Cain; his wife Margaret Earline McCormick; and his daughter Sandra Margaret McNew. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Ryan Cain (Tiffany) of Lewisville, NC, Andrea Ferrell of Powell, OH, Brittney Ferrell of Cary, NC, Mariah Griffin of San Antonio, TX, Kayla Cain-Kincaid (Aaron), Alexander Byrd (Courtney) of Thomasville and Rebekah Durika (Spenser) of Goode, VA; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Logan, Paisley, Levi and Everly; and his son-in-law Alan McNew.
