She was predeceased by : her parents, Jerry Dean Kearns and Lula B Kearns. She is survived by : her daughter Megan Johnson (Zane) of Archdale; her granddaughter Claire Johnson; her sisters, Kim Covington (Phillip) of Archdale and Susan Skaggs (John) of Summerfield; and her nieces, Caitlin and Carly.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
