He is survived by: his sons, Michael Tate (Heather) of Randleman and Nicholas Tate (Tasha) of Asheboro; his granddaughters, Aerial Tate, Makaila Tate and Elizabeth Tate; and his siblings, Wayne Tate (April) of Sophia, Ray Tate of Randolph County, Robin Boone (Brian) of Thomasville and Debbie Wall (Richard) of Randolph County.
