She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Auman and Martha Byrd Auman; her husband Dr. Charles F. Gilliam; and her brothers, Bill Auman and Bob Auman.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Freeman (Billy) of High Point, Charlotte Hanner (Ken) of Thomasville, Martha Snider (Perry) of Denton, Don Gilliam (Mary) of Tennessee and Jeff Gilliam (Janet) of Hickory; and her caregiver Sheree Markwell. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The inurnment was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery (401 W Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
