She was predeceased by: her parents, Sydney Jones and Rosa Jones; and her former husband Richard Earl McGhee. She is survived by: her daughter Robyn Langston (Ryan); her grandchildren, Rachael Ann Martin, Greg Penny and Zachary Reed Martin (Matthew McCarthy); her sisters, Sylvia Poole (Robert) and Evelyn Kandzer (Paul); her husband Grady; her daughter-in-law Cynthia Sparrow; and her children, Jonathan and Savannah. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (2107 Liberty St, Durham, NC 27703).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria's name to the Duke Dementia Family Support Program.
