He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Bernice and Roberta Johnson Jenkins; his wife Mary Ware Jenkins; and his siblings, Gladys Graham, Doris King, Wallace Jenkins and Paul Jenkins.
He is survived by : his children, Bonnie J. Childress of Danville, VA and John Charles Jenkins, Jr. (Buffy) of Timberlake, NC; his grandchildren, Justin Clack, Jessica Dew, Dustin Dew, Nicole Jenkins and Kristie Jenkins; his great grandchildren, Tanner Dew, Logan Dew, Mason Dew and Ava Dew; and his brothers, Ed Jenkins (Carol Ann) and Buddy Jenkins (Paulette).
Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Strickland and Jones Memorial Funeral Services (1810 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
