We are sad to announce that on May 18, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Shirley Wilson Clayton of Timberlake, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Shirley Wilson may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley Wilson touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gracie W. Wilson and John Buck Wilson of Timberlake; her former husband Edgar Thomas Clayton; and her close friend Russell Duke Taylor. She is survived by: her son Randy T Clayton (Cecile Ann); and her friends, Buck Taylor (Frances) and Ricky Lunsford.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Person Memorial Cemetery (3250 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573).
The family wishes to request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Shirley Clayton to the Timberlake Fire Department (PO Box 25, Timberlake, NC, 27583) for their dedication and service to the people of Person County.
